Portfolio

It is almost that time again. The time where my English portfolio is due. I feel like I just turned in my 101 portfolio and now I have to turn in my 102 portfolio. This portfolio has higher expectations. It is a new semester and my writing is suppose to have improved. But I don't know if it has? I mean I feel like I have learned a lot, but I can't really be the judge for my own work. I will soon start to get stressed about this portfolio. It was pretty time consuming the first time and I am expecting this portfolio to take up more time. Mainly because I had a general idea on what pieces of work I wanted to put in the first time. Now I have no idea. I want to but in the best pieces, to show my full potential, but to be honest I don't know which pieces of work are the best.

Timed Writing

To me timed writings are pretty difficult. Writing for me is a long stressful processes in itself, now theres a time limit? It takes me a long time to write even a page. I know what I want to say its just hard to put it in words. This is probably why it takes me so long. But, I did the timed writing to the best of my ability. As of right now I don't know how I actually did, but I'm crossing my figures and hoping that I did alright.

Carmichael Smoking Area

When I found out that we had to do a group project which consists of creating a facebook fan page about a place on campus, I was a little confused. Everyone's fan page was about buildings on campus. Who wants to be a fan of a building on campus? My first thought is nobody. So I suggested we create ours for Carmichael Smoking Area. There is honestly people there 24/7. Big groups of people will just go there and socialize. Its is a place where someone can go to get away and relax. It represents a good time to the people that conjugate there. This makes me believe that Carmichael Smoking Area will get more fans then anybody else's page.

California Prison System

Finding out about the horrible prison conditions in California, didn't really come as a shock to me. These convicts have done crimes that they have to pay for. I do feel that the living conditions are a little harsh, but they are convicts. The only thing that bothers me is that there is so many prisoners in the condensed area of that prison. This makes it hard to keep an eye on every prisoner. Which also makes that prison not safe. Something need to be done to lower the number of prisoners. They have talked about just letting some prisoners go. I don't agree with this at all. There has to b another prison that can take more prisoners.

Revising

I don't know about everyone else but revising a paper comes is so much easier then writing a paper. Once you write a paper, you already have a basic idea and to me that is the hardest part. Knowing your topic and how you want to approach it, is the first thing you need to do. I feel that my papers aren't up to par until I have revised them.

Conference

I have missed the past two days of English 102 class, due to being sick. Because of this I was kind of lost on what was going on in class. I went online to see what I missed, but there is a big difference in reading what we did and actually being there. I hate to miss class for this reason. Not knowing what is going on in class just makes me feel stressed. So now that I am cought back up I will do my best to not fall behind again.

Paper Due

So excited, it is super bowl sunday. The time has come, the moment I have been waiting for. It is finally here, but I also have a paper due. It sucks because I have been so pumped for this game and now I have to do a paper thats due tomorrow. I mean yea I could have not procrasinated and did it sooner, but why do something today at you can do tomorrow. This is my life motto. Procrasination is a great thing. Some of my best work has been things that I have done at the last minute. We will see how things turn out. Go Saints!
